A very rare piece of Early Victorian jewellery

Made from Bois Durci. A hand painted portrait miniature of a cavalier type figure framed behind glass with a gilt metal border.

This is a museum piece of jewellery.

This pendant is a model of a perfume flask pendant from the same era. Should have a metal top to the neck but this has disappeared over the years. Suspended from an ornate gilt metal chain and hanging bale.

Measures 50mm including chain and ring

Circa 1860
