An antique Victorian sterling silver horseshoe brooch with gold accents to the nail heads.
The Victorians believed that if the devil found a horseshoe open end up he would rest in the bowl so they wore the horseshoe this way to tip out the evil spirit.
Hand engraved with 'good luck'. No marks- tested
The holes in the back are to let the air out in manufacturing. Hollow construction.
