A beautiful brooch in 830 fineness silver gilt featuring pale blue enamel Forget me not flowers in a filligri design finishing in stylised 'spoons' at each termination. These Solje brooches literally mean shiny or sunny in Norwegian. Traditionally the 'spoons' divert the evil eye away from the wearer. This example very much in the style of Marius Hammer but no makers marks. C 1900
